“It is a privilege to be in this field and to work with, learn from, and walk alongside Sacred People on their journey to discovery and healing.”
— Vincent

Vincent, a descendant of the Chickasaw Nation and the Mexica, is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA. He has an extensive background in working with people on their healing journey through addiction, trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, and finding meaning. He currently is offering services for teens, adults and couples.

Vincent’s therapeutic philosophy focuses on addressing the entirety of a person as he believes mental health requires holistic attention and compassionate understanding. He utilizes empirically supported practices to address each individual’s areas of need while also integrating any and all cultural backgrounds. It is Vincent’s ultimate goal to collaborate and work towards identifying each person’s own guiding values and ally in integrating that compass into everyday life.

Vincent’s professional background has included providing individual, group, and family therapy at a residential/in-patient detoxification center, an outpatient center, and an integrated medical clinic. He obtained his certification for treating substance use disorders through the Santa Barbara City College and obtained both his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology through Antioch University of Santa Barbara. He currently holds a position on the Board of Directors for the Santa Barbara Chapter of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and is Adjunct Faculty in the Addictive Disorders Counseling Program at the Santa Barbara City College.

When he is not in a clinical setting, Vincent has a long list of hobbies that he is constantly trying to keep up with; including, but not limited to: buying books at a rate that outpaces his reading abilities, gardening and filling his house with plants, discovering new places to hike and run with his dog, starting new crocheting projects when he still has other projects to finish, making jewelry, cooking or baking a new recipe that he found online, or playing one of his many instruments that he has randomly placed in his house.
