Jasmyne Gilbert is Financial Administrator for the CFC. In this role, she facilitates client communication around certain CFC financial policies, as well as supports requests related to out-of-network reimbursement inquiries. She has over a decade of professional work experience facilitating complex, innovative initiatives for social transformation and working with communities who have borne the impact of intentional disinvestment and neglect in the U.S. Formerly, as a member of the Executive Leadership Team at Baltimore’s Promise, Jasmyne was responsible for strategy and implementation of organizational policies and practices that center shared accountability, equity, humanity, and creativity.
Jasmyne is a proud alumna of Tuskegee University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English, and her academic awards and honors include the Presidential Scholarship and graduating summa cum laude. She is a former Young Leaders Fellow with Amnesty International USA, an initiate of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and Co-Senior Editor of the Mythological Studies Journal at Pacifica Graduate Institute.
Jasmyne grew up in the suburbs of Oklahoma City and now lives in Pasadena with her husband, Ormond, and the World’s Best Boy, Remus John Lupin, O.M. First Class. Her spare time is occupied by her graduate research interests, which lie at the intersection of social constructionism, speculative fiction, media and culture studies, myth, and depth psychology.
