“Hold the Mother” Self-Exploration Workshop

West Coast group starts June 7th | East Coast group starts June 12th
This new virtual workshop is offered by Dr. Rebecca Lesser Allen (our amazing CFC clinician and co-lead for our assessments division) and specially designed for moms and female-identifying parents of babies 0-12 months. First-time moms and veteran moms are all welcome!
This group is designed as a place to process the massive identity transformation of motherhood and help you connect with your inner instincts, values and desires rather than learn the “right” way to do things. Over the course of seven weeks, we’ll cultivate an inclusive and supportive community while digging deeper into such topics as:
Your Birth: processing the monumental experience of giving birth in a safe and supportive space and listening to other's’ birth stories
Your Body: exploring your relationship to your physical body as it evolves in motherhood and discussion around your healing from pregnancy and birth
Your Partnership/Village: how has motherhood impacted your partnership? what does navigating conflict in parenthood look like?
Your Sexuality: discussion of sex, sexuality, and intimacy in motherhood
Your Career: what will work and career look like for you in the transition to motherhood, and discussion of shifting priorities and interests; finding balance; and navigating internal conflict
Your Mother/Origins: Exploration of your relationship with your mother and the role it plays in your motherhood journey
Logistics
Dr. Allen is offering two groups - one for the west coast and one for the east coast. Our West Coast group starts June 7th and will take place on Wednesdays at 1:00 pm PST. The cost is $250 and includes seven (7) Zoom sessions. To learn more, ask questions, and sign-up, please email rebecca@thecenterforconnection.org. (Late sign-ups are okay too!)
Note: our East Coast group is set set up the same as our West Coast group, but starts June 12th at 12 pm EST, and takes place on Mondays.
