Passion is at the heart of Audrey's work with children, making her a dedicated advocate for their learning journey. Audrey's mission is to empower every child to thrive academically while nurturing their individual strengths. She believes in fostering a positive learning environment where children can flourish and reach their full potential. By focusing on each child's unique abilities, Audrey tailors her approach to meet their specific needs, ensuring that they feel confident and supported as they progress toward their learning goals.
Audrey's extensive experience as a teacher and leader within the LAUSD district and as a founding teacher at a local charter school has shaped her understanding of school communities. She tirelessly advocates for students' needs and supports educators with curriculum and instruction. Transitioning to an Instructional Coach role, Audrey empowered teachers and principals across Los Angeles County with effective instructional practices, focusing on prioritizing students' needs above all else.
Driven by a passion for continuous learning, Audrey has earned advanced degrees and certifications, including a Master of Arts in Reading and Literacy and a Master of Science in Education Administration. She holds a Preschool Director certificate and an Educational Therapy certification. Committed to staying abreast of the latest educational methods, Audrey has studied at renowned institutions such as Columbia University, the University of California, Santa Cruz Extension, and Landmark College. Trained in Orton-Gillingham practices, Lindamood-Bell’s Visualizing Verbalizing, and executive function support through programs like Seeing My Time, Audrey equips students with the necessary tools for success. Additionally, she takes pride in her membership in the Association of Educational Therapists (AET).
Audrey's enthusiasm for teaching and learning extends beyond the traditional educational setting. She cherishes the opportunity to celebrate the achievements of her students and their families, both big and small. In her leisure time, Audrey enjoys outdoor adventures and can be found chasing after her three boys and husband at the beach or in the park.
