The Pasadena campus is the original home of The Center for Connection, founded by Dr. Tina Payne Bryson on the belief that relationships are at the heart of wellbeing. Located on East Colorado Boulevard, our headquarters houses the full breadth of CFC’s multidisciplinary services under one roof.
Our team of over 30 clinicians at this location includes licensed psychotherapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, educational therapists, and assessment specialists. Together, they serve children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families using an approach grounded in interpersonal neurobiology and attachment science.
The Pasadena campus is also home to The Play Strong Institute, a center devoted to the study, research, and practice of play therapy through a neurodevelopmental lens.
When you first reach out, our Director of Client Relations, Maura Cook, will guide you through the intake process and help match you with the right clinician based on your needs, schedule, and goals.
CFC is a self-pay practice. Session fees range from $175 to $350+ depending on the service and clinician. Sliding-scale options are available, and we provide superbills for clients seeking out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance provider.
Our clinicians' schedules vary by division and specialization to best serve their client populations. Whether you're looking for weekday appointments, after-school sessions for children, or evening availability for working adults, we'll work to find a time that fits.

Our Pasadena headquarters features a full-sensory occupational therapy gym where our OT team provides brain-based therapy across the lifespan. The space is designed for sensory integration, motor planning, self-regulation, and physical coordination work in an environment that feels welcoming rather than clinical.
Our OT team practices from a relationship-first, ABA-alternative perspective. We believe that behavior is communication, and we focus on understanding what a child's actions are telling us rather than simply modifying the behavior.
Everyone has the right to live as their true selves.
Everyone has the right to access their meaningful activities and seek the support they need.
Everyone has the right to feel a sense of deep belonging, not just of being tolerated.
We advocate for those whose voices are marginalized or silenced.
We believe in building spaces that are safe and connect people to one another.
Our Pasadena campus serves families and individuals from across the surrounding area.
Choose the path that best describes your needs.
